Belgrade String
Quartet was established in January 1990. During
that period Belgrade String Quartet became one of the leading
chamber ensambles in Yugoslavia because of their succsesful concert
activity and wide presence in media. The Quartet performed at
the international festivals BELEF, International
Review of Composers, "Kalemegdanski
sutoni" and "Jesen na
Cukarici" in Belgrade, at the International
Festival of chamber music in Nis, "Days
of Mokranjac" in Negotin and "Barski
ljetopis".
Belgrade String Quartet
also participates widely at the international music scene: London
1992, Florence 1993, Regio-Emilia 1994, Treviso 1996. and 1999,
Skoplje (FYR Macedonia) 2001 and Venezia 2002. Belgrade
String Quartet realised many recordings of performances
for Radio-television Serbia and in the year 2000. when the Quartet
celebrated 10-th anniversery, it published the first
CD "Numero Uno". The second
CD with the compositions od Ottorino Respighi
the Quartet published in 2002. Italian music house Amici
della Musica di Venezia published a live
CD from the Venice concert in 2003. Quartet made a succsesful
debut in the US in Washington, in april 2005. In 2006, Quartet
participates on the Festival on the island of Cres in Croatia,
and in Germany, in collaboration with the concert agency Pro
Musica from Bamberg. The Quartet had two more succsessful
tours in Germany in 2008 and 2009. The new CD with the compositions
of D.Schostakovich was recently published.
The members of the Quartet are: Nevenka Tatic, the first violin;
Vladimir Vasiljević, the second violin; Dejan Rokvic, the viola
and Dusan Stojanovic, the cello.
